After working for a number of years in the N.H.S. Martyn left in 2008 with a vague idea of doing something with his fingers.
Having rapidly grown bored of repeatedly counting to ten and building finger churches he somehow stumbled into the writing, 'singing' and latterly recording some of his own songs.
He cites "stuff what's happened to me and shit what I've noticed" as his main musical and intellectual inspiration. He does not play guitar in any conventional sense and remains to this day, in open mouthed awe of proper musicians. If you must listen to his music please do so with a ready smile!
